when will a native ARM64 (M1) version be released? It has been a year since the devkits are available, so maybe Autodesk has at least an estimate of an ETA? I am mainly hoping for some rendering speedups, because interaction speed is actually pretty good, even through Rosetta.Currently, we're working closely with Apple to optimize Autodesk software to work with Apple silicon. New macOS systems with the M1-chip are designed to work with macOS Big Sur 11.0 operating system. when will a bugfix version be released? Making Maya more stable would be a huge benefit. Apple recently announced the M1 chip, the first in-house chip designed specifically for Mac (November 2020).Generally though, I like working in Maya on the M1. Sometimes other harmless things would cause a crash, like pressing Space, orbiting the view, or undoing things. We are still working on it and hope the M1 support would be added from 2022.1 XB3 or XB4 if everything goes well cheers. It will be much better) Maya 2022 slow on intel iMac too. I doubt we will see Maya native M1 version build anytime soon. It is not natively supported so this performance is pretty much expected. The file itself is OK, and it won't happen every time. Yes, Maya on iMac with M1 works through Rosetta 2. Sometimes just opening a file would crash Maya, again and again.At least it shows there on top of the regular window. And, while not as severe, I noticed that even on Windows 10 something like the shadow of the Taskbar appears, again in full screen mode and when the hotbox is called. This happens on both Intel and M1 macs, as others have noted. When summoned in fullscreen mode, the application window turns black. 2022 introduced a bug that can render the Hotbox useless.Mostly a smooth experience, except for two things: But since a few days every time I open maya it will automatically crash after being and jumping in the dock for a few seconds. I’m working like this for 5 months right now. I'be been using Maya since February on my MacBook Air. Hey I’m using the newest version of MacOS BigSur on an M1 Chip Mac Mini and Maya 2022 (even though Maya 2020 isn’t working as well).
